Price per person

This self-guided walking holiday takes place in the northern Beaujolais, north of Lyon and south of Macon. Daily wine tasting of some of the finest wines in the region such as Fleurie, Moulin a Vent, Julienas, Chiroubles and Brouilly are included. The landscape is made up of a series of beautiful rolling hills getting progressively higher as you go north and west, giving rise to some delightful walking. Despite the relatively gentle nature of their slopes, the scale of the peaks and the depths of the valleys create a landscape of great panoramas and rich contrasts.

The tour consists of 4 day walks moving between guest houses. The walks are reasonably easy, but on certain days they can be made more challenging if you wish by climbing higher into the hills. An average day’s walk is around 14km long with limited ascents and descents. It is on a mixture of good paths, tracks and minor roads, although some sections can be rough and stony.  Average daily ascent is 300m. Some paths are rough in places with the odd steeper section, so walking boots are essential.

At the end of each day you'll be warmly welcomed at each small, quaint guest house where the hospitality is excellent and you'll be treated to great local food and wine.

5 nights in small and comfortable guest houses with ensuite accommodation in vineyards with plenty of local character. This package is based on full board where possible - all breakfasts, 3 picnic lunches and 4 evening meals are included in the price.  A wine pick up service included in case you start purchasing by the case.

The start and end of the tour includes a pick up and drop off in Lyon if needed.

After confirming your reservation we will send you within 48 hours a confirmation email. You will find:

  • Our confirmation of the availability of accommodation
  • Your VOUCHER (to print) to handover
